About Tampa Bay Music Foundation For Kids

We provide equitable access to children and families who may face financial obstacles in their pursuit of music. We believe that every child deserves the chance to explore their talents, express themselves, and develop a love for music, regardless of their financial circumstances. Our mission is to remove the barriers that prevent children from accessing the tools they need to learn and grow.

We aim to provide musical instruments and lessons for those who may not be able to afford them, and we strive to ensure that no child is left behind due to financial limitations. Our goal is to inspire and empower the next generation of musicians, and to make music education accessible to all. Through our efforts, we hope to create a world where every child has the opportunity to discover and pursue their passion for music, and where families are able to support their children's dreams without financial struggle.

Join us in our mission to make music education available to everyone, and let's work together to build a brighter future for our children.

Socioeconomic

status

Students of lower socioeconomic status who took music lessons in grades 8-12 increased their math scores significantly as compared to non-music students. But just as important, reading, history, geography and even social skills soared by 40%.

early intervention for Underachievers

Music training helps under-achievers. Students lagging behind in scholastic performance caught up to their fellow students in reading and surpassed their classmates in math by 22% when given music instruction over seven months.
